What if my medical service exceeds the Sidecar Health VISA benefit card limit?
Regardless of the plan you have, if you want to use your Sidecar Health VISA benefit card to pay for a service that exceeds the swipe limit, you can request the transaction be pre-approved. To request such pre-approval, upload a picture of the pre-bill to the Sidecar Health member portal, available at member.sidecarhealth.com, which will allow us to determine your Benefit Amount for the services shown on the pre-bill. When you’re ready to pay for your visit, use your Sidecar Health VISA benefit card to pay the provider up to the pre-approved Benefit Amount. You can pay any difference between the pre-approved Benefit Amount and the provider’s charge using any method you and the provider agree to. Then, take a photo of the final medical invoice you receive from the provider and upload it using the member portal to receive your actual Benefit Amount.
